Valve are quoted as being “very dissapointed” at the recent news that left 4 Dead 2 was refused classification in Australia. Left 4 Dead was an incredible rollercoaster game where you find yourself against an army of the undead. Out numbered, you have to rely on friends in the game (the game is 4 player) to watch your back, help you get from area to area and pick you up when you fall. TGL are also dissapointed at this news, it really seems a shame that such a high-quality title cannot be released, even to those old enough to purchase it. That said, in a similar fashion to the original game, if this title is region-free, it shouldn’t be a problem for many.

Stay tuned for more information.

UPDATE:  According to Valve, Left 4 dead 2 “might” be available afterall. Possibly in an “edited form”. This begs to ask, which one will Australia see, the “normal” or the “edited” version.  It seems that after all this hullabalooza L4D2 has managed to get a rating of MA15+, whether this stands or not is to be seen.
