What is going on with Valve is pretty clear once we calm down and think about it. The most likely scenario is that valve decided to revamp the source engine from its roots. But doing that will take a long time so meanwhile what to do? simple, just release a couple of loosers like L4D and L4D2 while the real work is happening on the new source engine. That's why valve is taking forever for EP3. Let's just hope it will be worth waiting.

I just played through HL2 and the two episodes and I can say I'm very much looking forward to Episode 3 still. The story, and the characters are almost more important than the game play. With 3+ years development, could HL2 Eps 3, be more of a HL3? They still use the Source engine for Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, and a lot of people are saying the engine is looking old now. But I don't personally care. I want more of the story and (I hope) to use the Portal gun against Combine!

I remember reading an interview a while back and one of the top guys in Valve claimed something like "some elements of E3 will change gaming forever". Now, I don't know about anyone else but if it's going to to as epic, beautiful and down right ground breaking like HL2...i'll happily wait!

That ending to episode 2 broke my heart. Ive been waiting forever for this and every e3 i sit and hope valve will show us something, but they never do. I think the game will stand out on its own when it comes out. And i doubt you'l ever see it on ps3
