Gamesnash Live officially opening this Friday!
Gamesnash.ie was established in 2007 and has since enjoyed some truely inspiring moments. Going up against some of the largest conglomerate companies in Europe [and the world] and to have established itself as Ireland’s no.1 online games retailer is some feat. Having bought from them before, I have had no issues whatsoever, in fact, I would say that their attention to helping people is second to none. Having “slaved” in retail myself for many many years I met all kinds. From the down-right wonderful to the worst our general public is comprised of, I have seen it all. Well, wasn’t it refreshing to deal with Gamesnash who seem to hold what we all want and need sometimes from an online retailer: attention to detail.
They run an operation that i’m sure has been deemed fruitless, yet continue to succeed. Why? Well, their ability to offer some amazing deals on pre-owned games is one. They seem to offer quite a good price when it comes to titles. Ok let’s be realistic, if you wanted to trade in Fifa Street 2.7 on the PS2 you’re likely to get very little, in fact, chances are they’d pay you to bin that filth. But crucially, Gamesnash offer fair and from what i’ve experienced: really decent prices. They also offer new titles for pre-order and sale and all seem to fall into the “should I shop here bracket”. Sometimes they can be a few euro more expensive than the like of Play.com, but i’d much rather pay a few euro extra and support our local guys that truely pave the way for the likes of the rest of us.
To my delight, I received an email one day from Gamesnash about their new venture. Sworn to secrecy, I revelled in the information provided. “How on earth did you manage that?” – I seem to recall myself saying. The news was that Gamesnash have started a new venture: Gamesnash Live. A cross between a gaming cafe and a retail store, Gamesnash live offers a very comfy, peaceful and energetic surrounding. A few weeks ago, I headed out and scouted it out for myself to see what all the fuss was about. I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised. Gamesnash live operates literally on the main street in Dunboyne, Co.Meath. It might not be accessible to all i’m sure, but you literally have to hop on a bus for 20-30 minutes from Dublin City Centre and you’re there! What took me by surpirse was how spacious it is. Its big windows allowing plenty of light to come in – which in my opinion is a great asset. Great for parties (see rates) it seems as it caters to the young and old. With Wii machines in stock to use, Playstation’s and Xbox’s – Gamesnash Live offers an un-parralled party/clan/group experience.
Gamesnash Live enables even new gamers to walk in off the street and play games in the comfort of the surroundings. Without the fear of being “judged” by “hard-core gamers”, Gamesnash Live allows and empowers the young and old to play games for whatever reason they want: recreation, competition or simply for a shared experience.
Here’s the PR:
Gamesnash Live is a cross between a retail shop, a gaming centre and your own sitting room. As well as having a wide selection of the latest releases available for sale, gamers can come and play games in the most comfortable of surroundings in a location designed to mirror their own sitting room. Instead of cramped internet booths gamers are seated on sofas and bean bags which echoes the Gamesnash Live motto of “Gaming As It Should Be” The mixed, safe environment is worlds apart from the arcades found in the city and provides over 300 games and 10 consoles, including X Box’s, Wii’s and PS3’s. As well as having PC’s available for internet access each console is connected to the internet allowing gamers to play online with other gamers worldwide. Gamesnash Live also provide a range of unique games and equipment such as guitars, drum kits, rock band sets, dance mats and singstar equipment.
Gamesnash Live have also featured in an article on esports.ie and the Meath extra. With the caption “Gaming as it should be” we look forward to our gaming session on Friday!. The official opening will be covered by us so stay here for more photos and news!
