Twisted Metal rated. Details “stabbing hospital patients”
If you thought this was going to get anything but an “M” for mature, we think you should sit down before you read the text below…
The ESRB have rated EatSleepPlay’s return to the Twisted Metal franchise and it reads pretty much exactly how you’d guess. Slapped with an “M” rating, the rating talks a little about dragging characters behind your car/character, but it also reveals some of the rather gory live-action sequences that we can expect to see when the game releases next month.
Have a read…
“This is a combat racing game in which players assume the role of contestants battling for supremacy in a competition called Twisted Metal. As players drive through urban landscapes, they can use chainsaws, machine guns, flame throwers, and missiles to destroy other vehicles; races are highlighted by realistic gunfire and over-the-top explosions. Players can also choose to run over fleeing pedestrians, resulting in large blood-splatter effects. One mode’s objective is to capture enemy leaders; a large blood trail is depicted as screaming characters are dragged behind players’ vehicle. A variety of live-action sequences depict more intense acts of violence: a serial killer getting stabbed in the face with scissors; a woman holding a bloodied saw and severed head; a character stabbing hospital patients with a machete; a woman bleeding from the neck and lying on the street. The word “motherf**ker,” “sh*t,” and “a*shole” can be heard in the dialogue.”
Thanks, ESRB
